Discover the Competition Few Have Seen but Everyone Should Respect

F-Class is one of the world’s most elite precision rifle competitions. Governed by strict NRA rules, it challenges shooters to fire prone at distances from 300 to 1,000 yards on carefully defined targets. Despite its global following, many shooters in the U.S. have never seen or experienced an F-Class match.

That is where F-Class Laser Academy comes in. Our system is not just inspired by F-Class, it is built directly on its rules and scaled for indoor use. The result is that you experience the same structure, discipline, and standards that govern sanctioned matches, right from your own home.

Six Distances, Six Certified Targets

In NRA F-Class, each distance: 300, 500, 600, 800, 900, and 1000 yards - has an official target with exact dimensions and scoring rings. In Laser Academy, those same targets are digitally scaled down so you can train at just 8 yards indoors.

Choose one target per training session, just like on the real line. Each card is assigned to its proper distance and the app applies all scoring rules automatically. Pro tip: mount two targets back to back in a holder to keep them straight and stable.

Visuals, Rules, Readiness - The Three Steps to Start Training Right

In a real F-Class match, competitors prepare with spotting targets, pit crews, and safety checks before record fire begins. Laser Academy mirrors that discipline.

  1. Set your visuals. Mirror your iPhone or iPad to a TV or projector so feedback appears instantly and clearly, like a spotting scope on the line.
  2. Load the rules. Tap Start in the app and scan the target QR code. This instantly loads the target specification and drill description.
  3. Confirm readiness. Complete Express setup steps for light and alignment, the same checks a range officer performs before calling Commence Fire.

Sight-In and Zeroing Just Like a Match

Matches allow limited sighter shots before record fire. Laser Academy mirrors this with Laser Zeroing - up to 20 shots to confirm rifle, optics, and app alignment before qualification begins.

The Match Rules Built In

Once zeroed, you move into record fire governed by the same pacing and timing logic used in sanctioned matches:

  • 20 shots per stage
  • 20 to 30 minute time limit depending on distance
  • Slow fire with a short pause between pull down, mark, and pull up, mirroring electronic target cycles
  • Full virtual Spotter assistance at first, which you can disable with the sound icon

Miss the time limit and un-fired shots are scored as zero, just like on the real line.

Qualification, Trending, and Moving Up

Every 20-shot stage is stored locally in your Performance Dashboard and in Qualification and Trending Reports. These reports track classification over time and show clear progress or areas to rebuild.

You need 120 shots at Level 1 to establish your first official qualification, from Marksman up to High Master. This mirrors real F-Class classification practices. Once you have earned your standing, Pro Access levels and participation in Compete-Stages with Friends or Worldwide become available as optional in-app purchases.

At higher levels you face more than fundamentals: ballistic drop, wind drift, and dynamic gusts - the same challenges elite shooters face outdoors.

Why This Matters

When you train with Laser Academy you are not just shooting at paper in your hallway. You are entering a framework that uses the same targets, timing, and classifications as NRA F-Class. That means your scores, your progress, and your status all mean something because they are built on rules respected around the world.

Last Word

F-Class Laser Academy is not about shortcuts. It is about giving shooters everywhere access to the same structure that builds world-class competitors. When you scan your first target and fire your first stage, remember this: you are not just training indoors, you are stepping onto the same path that runs across every sanctioned F-Class firing line.

Your rifle. Your space. The real rules. Step into F-Class territory…
